Team Brianna: A Story of Tenacity

Brianna Heim was born with a rare metabolic disorder that posed severe health challenges throughout her life. Despite being in a wheelchair and using an iPad to speak, she doesn’t let anything stop her from thriving as a college student, athlete, artist, and model. She embodies her motto, "Do what they think you can't do," breaking down barriers and living her best life through volunteering and participating in community activities with the support of her family.

Team Tiffany: A Story of Redemption

Tiffany Blair, the eldest of six, was born into especially difficult circumstances that ultimately set her on a destructive path into adulthood. But after discovering, embracing, and graduating from The Other Side Academy, she turned her life around and has parlayed that experience into becoming a staff member at the academy’s sister company, The Other Side Village.

Team Radi: A Story of Triumph

Radi Papadopoulos was adopted at age 12 along with her brother after enduring a very rough childhood in Bulgaria. Radi, a recent high school graduate, has thrived in the U.S., excelling in soccer, which she began playing as a child in Bulgaria. She won the Golden Glove award as captain of the Special Olympics USA Unified Team and is the goalkeeper for the Real Salt Lake Unified Team.

Team Heidi: A Story of Dedication

In late spring 2023, Heidi Wing's first-ever attempt at a century ride (bicycling 100 miles) ended in a catastrophic accident at mile 55. A severe spinal injury led to her becoming paralyzed, with a prognosis of life in a wheelchair. While grateful to be alive, Heidi refused to accept it, and with support from her family and intense physical therapy, she regained the ability to walk and has embraced adaptive cycling while living life to the fullest.
